I have a new daughter

I have a new daughter and her name is Bridgett Bardot. She is not a Boston Terrier she is much larger but she came into my life for a reason. I have this habit of visiting the Utopia Animal Rescue's web site and just looking at the pictures of the dogs that they have rescued. Last year I remember seeing one dog with the saddest eyes ever so I clicked on the picture to read Bridgett Bardot is back. It told that she was returned because she had torn up the seat on a four wheeler. I was so outraged that some one would return a dog for a stupid reason like that. I remember telling my daughter Kikki that I wanted to be Bridgett's mom. At the time I was still living in a bad place and Mickey and Domino was still there at my side so I guess it was more of a wish than a plan. I did say that once I was moved and had my own place that if Bridgett was still available I wanted to go to the Utopia Rescue Ranch and adopt her. Well as I have mentioned in my previous post I ended up escaping the bad situation I was in and moved closer to the rescue ranch. Not close enough to volunteer like I would love to do but still much closer than I was before. I moved into my own place on July 9th and two weeks later I drove up to the Rescue Ranch with my friend Sharon for a visit with Cousin Nancy and Tony. Before I left I had adopted Bridgett Bardot and had a new daughter. Bridgett is the sweetest thing and lays by my feet no matter where I am in the house. Mater is a little terror running wild from room to room and she is so laid back and quiet I'm wondering if she will ever play like Mater. I called my kids to tell them they had a new sister and my daughter was ecstatic. She said Mom I'm so glad you adopted Bridgett. That is one more thing that you said you were going to do that actually happened. I can't wait to meet her. Nancy gave me a signed copy of her book The Road to Utopia How Kinky, Tony and I saved more animals than Noah. I was estatic to receive a signed copy and laughed once I got home and saw that she had signed it to Cindy Windy after me telling her the story of how the x had called me that to irritate me. I love Nancy and Tony and all that they do at the rescue ranch. If you have the space for a needy life then go to Utopiarescue.com and look at those beautiful animals that need forever homes. You will never regret opening your heart and your home to a rescued pet.

Out of the Texas Mist is ready

I am flabbergasted. I went to my publishers web site just to see if there was a release date only to see that you can buy my book now. Okay here is what else I found out. You can go to your local book store and order it from them or you can go online and order it through Barnes and Nobel or Amazon. Just type in the book title in the search box.
I am so excited. Thank you Kinky for being so understanding because with out your blessing and encouragement for me to submit that little manuscript that flowed from a dream I wouldn't be here now. You are truly my hero. Thank you Nancy for helping me get the word out and most of all thank you to everyone that picks up my little mystery and reads it. It was such a joy to write I hope you enjoy it as much as I did writing it.

Thank you to my friends

Thank you all for your words of encourgement. I am trying to look at things in a positive way but Mickey was my heart and soul. I am having problems sleeping because I am so used to Mickey being there to hold on to. I woke last night and reached over to hug him and he wasn't there. Domino was curled up by my head with is sweet face next to mine but all I could do was cry because I did not have Mickey to hold on to. The other Bostons know I am struggling and each of them has tried to curl up in Mickey's spot but it's not the same. The last two nights I have even had a little red wiener dog curl up next to me trying to make me feel better. Mater has started to bond with me and I do love that sweet face but I know this will take time. My son and his wife had planned to take me to San Antonio this weekend then over to The Utopia Animal Rescue Ranch so I could meet Nancy Parker Simons the sweet woman that runs the rescue ranch in Medina, Texas but now I don't know if I'm up to the trip. My youngest son said they were afraid this would happen when Mickey crossed the bridge. They were afraid I would give up on my quest.
As I write this I realize that hurting is a process of loss and with it we grow. Kinky Friedman invited me up to the ranch so I could see the good works they were doing and I know I told him I would come, so since he has been so good to me with my book I will go this weekend and make a nice donation in Mickey's memory. I will take this sorrow that I feel in my heart and draw strength from the love that Mickey and I shared. He was my constant shadow the strength that I drew on and just because he is not here in body dosn't mean I can waver. I will finish the book that I started to write in Mickey's voice on how to train your human and dedicate it in his memory. Thank you again for your kind words for from them I will draw strength. I have a great future and it was Mickey's love that made me the person that I am today. Our human heart can never measure up to the love that is given to us by our pets. It is a perfection of love in a form we will never truly be able to understand. I love you Mickey and miss your warm little body but I know you are still here with me because I feel your little paws on my heart and I feel your breath in my soul.

Love

Great Things To Come

I have so much to look forward to in the upcoming days and weeks. First off baby Bump should be coming into this world any day now so I will get to see my first Grandson. Kikki still hasn't decided on a name so I guess he will be nicknamed Bump.
Then next weekend Justin, Sheena, Josh, Elizabeth and I will be off on our little trip to San Antonio and the races on Saturday then Josh and Elizabeth will take me to meet Cousin Nancy at the Utopia Animal Rescue Ranch on Sunday. I chatted with Nancy the other day about the visit and she said she was excited to finally meet me but Kinky was going to be out of town. I didn't tell her it might be for the best because Kinky would be a big distraction for me. LOL
She told me that Kinky had said he was impressed with me which I was not sure how to take. I am very impressed with him and do not hesitate to say it. He is a very nice man and I am in awe of his accomplishments. I am so thrilled to meet Nancy and the others at the rescue ranch. They are all angels in my eyes.
Last but not least I had an email from the Publish America yesterday telling me that my paper contract will be in the mail and I should be receiving it with in two weeks. Once the paper contract is signed and returned we will start the editing process. This brings me one step closer to being a published author.
The best news of all is Tommy has finally realized that I am gone and has started to move on with his life. That is the best news of all. Now all I need to do is get him to share in the cost of the divorce so we can get this thing over with so we can both move on to our futures.
Thank You Universe this shows that Thoughts become things so think only good ones.
